Testimonies from new friends

"We were attending several churches in the area, trying to find a new "home" when one of our friend's recommended we add her church to our list.  Our very first visit, our hearts were touched.  We haven't tried another church since.  We enjoy the music, the laughter, and how the sermon is relatable to every day life.  Every week we meet new people and feel very welcomed.  We attended the Welcome Lunch and made many new friends.  There, we learned of new programs for our children as well as many   options for ourselves.  Our children had a wonderful time in their group and look forward to new activities they learned about.  We decided to become members and also had our son dedicated here.”    A new family at FVC

"A friend introduced me to Fairview and it has to be one of the best moves I have made.  My first visit was awesome.  I was greeted at the door, welcomed by two ladies with smiles and open arms.  How did they know I was new?  This church was huge with many people     coming and going but yet they knew.  This was a feeling like no other.  So I attended two, three and now I lost count on how many times I have come.  I leave wanting more.  I feel like this is my home.  I have attended WOW, was part of “Be the Church”, Upward Basketball, and the children's musical.  I always referred to my church upbringing as multi-denominational- traveling to church after church, so often that I actually lost track.  When I was 15, asked God into my heart because that is what everyone expected of me…Looking back I had no idea what I was doing except going with the flow.  Fast forward 30 some years, 2 failed marriages, 5 children and my life was in a tail spin and I hit rock bottom.  I found my way back to God... after attending Fairview for several months, my schedule finally afforded me the opportunity to attend Sunday's Village 101 class… when I walked out of the church on Sunday night, it was dark and only three cars were in the lot.  I turned around and I shouted to Kathie..."Hey Kathie guess what?” She said “What?” I screamed at the top of my lungs "This is my Church"!  And she responded "Praise God".  And I do.  Thank you Kathie for your excellent teaching and explanation of the Church and it's views and how it pertains to me.  And a big thank you to my new family at FVCN.  I now have a place where I belong.”   A new friend at FVC

"Immediately coming in the doors to Fairview Village Church I felt at home.  I had prayed the Lord would lead me to my next church, and he did just that.  I felt that I just needed to "jump in the pool" and get involved, so the very next week I joined the Choir, and Worship Team.  Everyone is so accepting... and I love it that the staff here are so approachable.  This was also evident at the Welcome Lunch.  God is definitely doing great things here!  I am blessed that He led me here.”  A new friend at FVC
