About

Fairview Village Church is a dynamic place filled with people sharing life and growing closer to God. We have a congregation dedicated to the gospel and determined to let the world know of the love and hope available in Christ.

On any given day in "the Village" you will see any of the following:

* a group of men or women meeting together, seeking God’s best,
* children playing sports under the guidance of caring coaches,
* teenagers planning a fundraiser,
* bags being filled with food and essentials for the homeless,
* musicians rehearsing their praises for the Lord,
* actors practicing skits to teach valuable lessons...

We could go on and on... but why don't you check it out for yourself. At Fairview Village Church we are always striving to take an intentional look towards who God is calling us to be in the future… and we feel these three words describe it best…

In "the Village", we have all sorts of reasons to CELEBRATE! * GOD! * Worshiping together. * Great people. * Centering our lives in Christ. * Hearing the Word. * Authenticity. * Grace. * Our children and teen ministries. *

CELEBRATE - describes our worship. Psalms 145: 7, "They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness." Our worship is found and formed in our understanding of God's grace. Jesus died on the cross for my sin and, in opening my heart to him, I find forgiveness, purpose and a new pattern for living. But we are also reminded to share God's grace in words, thoughts and deeds. We are people who celebrate the goodness of God in every circumstance and situation.

We CONNECT in so many ways! * Joining in with like-minded folks. * "Finding our place in this world - a place where we belong." * Gathering for friendship and fun, as well as love and support. *

CONNECT - describes our relationships. Acts 2: 44, "All the believers were together and had everything in common." God created us to live in community. We reflect Him when we live connected to others. This also entices a lonely world to join us. So, with intention, we connect in the café, through seminars, classes, coffee houses and small groups. Our deep desire to connect encourages us to help others connect also.

We CARE by changing the world with His love. * Supporting 75+ children and a Development Center in Rancho Arriba, Dominican Republic. * Being the church all around our community. * Welcoming everyone, regardless of their circumstances - meeting people exactly where they are at. *

CARE - describes our service to each other and the world. John 3: 16, "For God so loved the world that he gave..." Meaningful service is important to everyone. So we volunteer with enthusiasm to make a difference in each other, our community and the world. We seek out those in need among us, our local community and the globe so the love of Christ may be "observed" through us.

We know - it’s not easy visiting a new church for the first time.

Come as you are!

We want your first time to be an enjoyable experience - easy, stress-free, relaxing, and "user-friendly".

This church is “for everyone”, whatever their background, current or past lifestyle, including those who have never been to church before.  There is something for everyone, with services for any age, and groups and activities to get involved in.

You are welcome here, and we hope you will enjoy the music and the relevant teaching message. Then afterwards, you can hang around to meet the teaching Pastor in the lobby. You can check out the Resource Center for more information and then grab some coffee and a donut in our Café.

We have 2 events designed to help you learn more about us:

Several times a year we host a Welcome Lunch. We invite you to bring your family or friends. The lunch is a casual gathering where you will get to meet our Pastors and learn a bit more about what the Village has to offer. It is also a great chance to meet other new people learning about our church. The lunch is held in the Fireplace Lodge at 11:50 a.m. Dates are posted on the website calendar, at the Resource Center and in the weekly Sunday bulletin.

Every other month we host Village 101.  . The gathering gives you an overview of the church and its beliefs. It is also a great question and answer share time with a staff Pastor, as well as an opportunity to make new friends in an informal, intimate setting. Village 101 is held on Sunday 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m, in Room 517. Dates are posted on the website calendar, at the Resource Center and in the weekly Sunday bulletin.
